Monday Giveaway!

Happy Monday! Let’s start this week off right…how about with my first giveaway?!

OK, so you probably know I’m a little obsessed with Happy Herbivore. When I started reading blogs about a year ago, I immediately added HH to my roster, even though I don’t necessarily follow a low fat or vegan diet. At first, I was only making HH’s famous black bean brownies, but then I started further exploring her recipe page and cooking style. I honestly didn’t think I would buy the HH book when I heard about it’s early 2011 release. But as I made and devoured more free recipes from the blog, I realized that I would really enjoy the ease and satisfaction of HH recipes (and pretty pics) from the cookbook, too.

Now, through the generosity of BenBella Books, I would like to pass on a copy of The Happy Herbivore Cookbook so you can see for yourself how awesome low-fat, vegan cooking and baking can be!

To enter the giveaway, leave a comment or send an e-mail to TheSteelLife@gmail.com explaining why would you would like to try The HH Cookbook or with ideas of what you’d like me to blog about (I’m still pretty new to this, after all).

    I’d like to win the HH Cookbook because I’m currently a “mac and cheese vegetarian” and I’d like to become a “can actually cook a few healthy meals vegetarian” 🙂

    I’d love to win the book because I hear so much about it, and as a veg-curious vegetarian, it has sparked my interest! I’m also secretly trying to wean my friends and family off of meat, so maybe it could help. 🙂

    I’d love to win this book for my good friend Bev. After discovering that her 3 month old is most likely allergic to dairy (and soy) Bev has selflessly cut both out of her diet. I think she is subsisting on cereal and could use this book!

    I would love to win this book because I have always loved cooking and as I get older, I have tried to adjust my (and my husbands) eating habits. More fruits, veg and whole grains. I myself have gone Flexitarian. I am always looking for more foods I can use as proteins since I am not a fan of beans (I enjoy lentils) and I also don’t want to add to many eggs each week. Why win and not go out to purchase ( I use to buy many cookbooks) The economy has hit my family pretty hard, like many, and the last few years, I have only been able to borrow cookbooks from the library and copy pages I really really liked. It would be nice to be able to add a great cookbook, I can go back to time and time again.

    I would love to win this book because I am trying to move towards a mostly vegetarian diet. I always thought it would be too hard to eat vegetarian and still get enough protein. But reading your blog has turned me onto all the good vegetarian and vegan bloggers and recipes on the web! I would love to have this cookbook as a tool in the process of not only becoming healthier but also learning to cook more!
