Girls Night

Happy Saturday afternoon! It’s been a lovely sunny day filled with grocery shopping (hello East End Co-op, Trader Joe’s and Market District!).

Let’s back track to yesterday and the beginning of girls night! A co-worker of mine convened a “Popcorn, Pedicures, Pillowfights & PJs” evening for some of her gal pals.

Pedicure ready

It ended up being less pedis and pillowfights and more pizza and chit chat (couldn’t think of anything that started with a “p”). It was a great night with some new friends and lots of delicious treats:

My contribution to the evening was these mini bites of heaven from Prantl’s Bakery πŸ™‚
I got all different flavors- german chocolate, pecan pie, peanut butter, chocolate & coffee, and of course their famous burnt almond torte. I had a couple bites of two different flavors- I thought they were very tasty but they didn’t blow me away. The burnt almond torte is so worth it though. Yum!

A few us stayed the night and made it a true slumber party. This morning began with yoga (ommm) and then brunch back with the last of the gals.

Broccoli, veg. sausage, cheese and egg bake with taters

This breakfast bake was deeelicious! And I haven’t had taters in ages.
What a great day πŸ™‚

Yay! So glad you could come. I was in dire need of a girls night πŸ™‚ Sorry we never got around to the pedicures though.
