New Traditions

We survived our first week as Pittsburghers! It has been a long and exhausting, yet exciting seven days. Today was spent “refining” (i.e. tidying up) and making our home more homey. Tonight, we started a new tradition of lighting Shabbat candles and talking about the previous week and what we hope will come in the next week. It’s kinda cheesy and I love it. We also put up lots of artwork and all the framed stuff from the wedding. We’ve got a lot of wedding memorabilia! We need one more day to make everything look pretty and then lots of pictures will follow! Tomorrow’s plans also include lunch at The Quiet Storm, a veg/vegan restaurant (so excited!) and a tour throughout the Strip District, which is supposed to be hoppin’ on the weekends and full of fun stuff to see and buy. I’m super excited! And I’m super grateful that my tour guide is an ex-Detroiter who’s lived in Pitt for awhile and loves it. That’s always a good sign.
Have a good weekend all!
